DISSEMINATION OF RESEARCH AND EVALUATION FINDINGS

At the request of the stakeholders, the final report can be disseminated in a debriefing meeting either in a one to one or small group setting. This presentation of the research and evaluation findings can help to solidify the importance of the evaluation study and the need to use this tool to make programmatic changes as necessary.

RESEARCH-BASED RECOMMENDATIONS

The recommendations produced as a result of the data that is captured and analyzed will be based on best practices and existing literature. These recommendations are always tailored to the specific type of findings identified as a result of the evaluation. Using best practices and project data to develop recommendations can often help to develop the sustainability of the project at an institutional level.

EVALUATION REPORTS

Upon the conclusion of the project and the receipt of all necessary data files, a comprehensive and summative report is compiled. The purpose of this report will be to report on all necessary program outcomes. This report may also cover unintended outcomes, as they are deemed relevant to the project’s evaluation. This report is produced in such a way that it will be easily accessible for all project stakeholders and a variety of audiences. The final report will assist project stakeholders in making data-informed decisions about the project’s future implementation and potential sustainability.

DATA ANALYSES

Descriptive and inferential statistical analysis (e.g., frequency and percentages, t-tests) may be examined to evaluate the key evaluation questions. Additional statistical analysis can be employed (ANOVA, Regression, etc.) in keeping with the evaluation questions. Qualitative data will be analyzed using the most appropriate methodology, in concert with the evaluation questions. ERBD has extensive experience in Cultural-Historical Activity Theory, thematic coding, open coding, document review, and content analysis.

DATA COLLECTION METHODS

Quantitative data may be extracted by staff or collected over the course of the evaluation. Quantitative data may also include data capture from surveys completed by students, faculty, and administrators on their perceptions of and satisfaction with project activities, as one example.

DATA COLLECTION AND MANAGEMENT OVERVIEW

Quantitative and qualitative data will be collected by ERBD as planned and as per the agreed-upon evaluation plan. This data can be institutional in nature or collected directly from participants via Interviews, Focus Groups, or Surveys. ERBD will always work closely with project stakeholders to ensure that data collection is feasible and possible.

CONDUCT RELEVANT LITERATURE REVIEWS

A literature review will be conducted as a best practice to help understand the prior knowledge available regarding the phenomena or initiative to be evaluated. Identifying and examining constructs of interest will support the development of a strong and robust evaluation plan. Reviewing the existing literature and developing tools from established theoretical models will ensure the optimal use of the literature to develop recommendations and best practices.

CUSTOMIZED DATABASE & DATA ENTRY-MANAGEMENT

Best practice data management principles will be employed regarding all data. Password protected, and encrypted databases will be the standard operating procedure as well as ensuring that all staff working with data have completed confidentiality agreements further protecting participants’ privacy and welfare. In addition to this, evaluation staff is well versed in the principles of Human Subject Protection, as per the National Institutes of Health.

CUSTOMIZED TRAINING MODULES AND PRESENTATIONS

Best practice management principles are employed regarding all developed training modules and presentations. These are developed in collaboration with grant staff and with participant input. Training modules can be posted on a learning platform so that participants can access materials 24/7.

PRODUCE PROJECT WORK PLAN

Develop a work plan to help guide all project related work. In the work plan project goals will be aligned with project outcomes. Each project related evaluation activity will include details such as project evaluation tasks, deliverables, responsible party and the estimated time of completion.

CLIENT PLANNING SESSIONS

Planning sessions will be conducted with project stakeholders to establish and confirm individual project expectations and review the project work plan.

DEVELOPMENT/REVISIONS OF EVALUATION PLAN

ERBD will develop an evaluation plan that will include evaluation questions, and essential tracking of performance through outcome measures.
